William Goldstein Scholarship

supports Frost School of Music students pursuing graduate-level study in Music Composition for Film and Media

Established through a gift from William Goldstein, the William Goldstein Scholarship supports one University of Miami Frost School of Music student every other year pursuing graduate-level study in Music Composition for Film and Media through a $5,000 scholarship.

William Goldstein is a recording artist and composer. He has scored over 50 Film and Television projects, including Fame and The Miracle Worker, and is a pioneer in the use of computers and electronics in music. His compositions have also been featured at such venues as Carnegie Hall and Symphony Hall Boston, and he has written on the arts in The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times.
