Jerry Harrington Musical Theatre Awards
The Jerry Harrington Awards For Outstanding Creative Achievement in Musical Theatre are presented annually to a writer in each of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop groups – First Year $500, Second Year $600, Advanced $1000 and Librettist $500. The awardees are selected by the moderators of the workshop groups.
Established in 2000 by BMI Assistant Vice President and Counsel Evelyn Buckstein in honor of her longtime friend and colleague, Jerry Harrington, the awards are given each year in Harrington’s honor to celebrate the late attorney’s lifelong love of musical theatre.
