Evelyn Buckstein Scholarship

a year’s tuition to attend the City College of New York

Valued at full tuition for City College of New York (CCNY) music majors, the Evelyn Buckstein Scholarship is awarded annually to a gifted student aspiring to a career as a professional songwriter, composer, performer, and/or music educator. Preference is given to female-identifying students and students of color.

The Evelyn Buckstein Scholarship was generously endowed in 2007 by BMI Foundation Board Member, retired BMI Assistant Vice President and Counsel, and CCNY alumna Evelyn Buckstein. Upon its inception, then-BMI Foundation President Ralph N. Jackson said, “Evelyn Buckstein is one of the most caring and generous people that I know. Through her work as an attorney at BMI spanning decades, she has assisted the careers of thousands of songwriters and composers, and now, with this program, she has created a lasting legacy which will help young musicians for years to come.”

By invitation only; no applications accepted. Visit The City College of New York for more information.
